How Character Rankings Work
Simple Explanation
Your character's score is calculated from two main parts:
- Stats - HP, Mana, AC, ATK, Resists, FT (Flowing Thought)
- Focuses - Spell focuses that improve your spells
Each part is scored as a percentage (0-100%) compared to the best character in your class. Then everything is combined into one overall score.
Score Breakdown (For Casters)
For caster classes, your score is made up of:
- ~40% Focuses - Spell focuses (damage, mana efficiency, haste, duration, etc.)
- ~20% HP - Hit points
- ~20% Mana - Mana pool
- ~15% Resists - Total of all 5 resists
- ~5% FT - Flowing Thought (if capped at 15/15)
Note: Percentages are approximate and vary slightly by class. All weights are normalized so each class's total equals 100%.
Stats Explained
HP (Hit Points)
Your HP compared to the highest HP in your class. All classes are scored on HP.
Mana
Your mana compared to the highest mana in your class. Only classes with mana are scored on this (Cleric, Druid, Shaman, Necromancer, Wizard, Enchanter, Magician, Beastlord, Ranger, Paladin, Shadow Knight, Bard).
AC (Armor Class)
Only tank/hybrid classes are scored on AC: Warrior, Paladin, Shadow Knight, Beastlord, Ranger.
ATK (Attack)
Only melee/hybrid classes are scored on ATK: Warrior, Paladin, Shadow Knight, Monk, Rogue, Ranger, Beastlord, Bard.
Scored as percentage of 250 ATK cap (e.g., 250/250 = 100%).
Resists
Total of all 5 resists (MR, FR, CR, DR, PR) compared to the best in your class. All classes are scored on resists.
FT (Flowing Thought)
If you have FT capped at 15/15, this adds bonus points to your score. Only applies to casters and bards.
Focuses Explained
Focuses make up about 40% of your score for casters. Each class values different focuses based on their role:
- Spell Damage - Increases spell damage (class-specific damage types)
- Spell Mana Efficiency - Reduces mana cost (categorized as Nuke, Detrimental, or Beneficial)
- Spell Haste - Faster casting (categorized as Beneficial or Detrimental)
- Spell Duration - Longer spell duration (categorized as Beneficial, Detrimental, or All)
- Healing Enhancement - Better heals (for healing classes)
- Spell Range Extension - Longer spell range
Class-Specific Focus Items
Some classes have special focus items that are tracked separately:
- Warriors: Darkblade of the Warlord (Main Hand) + Raex's Chestplate of Destruction (Chest) + Haste
- Paladins: Shield of Strife + Beneficial Spell Haste + Healing Enhancement
- Shadow Knights: Shield of Strife
- Enchanters: Serpent of Vindication (Range slot)
How It All Adds Up
- Each stat and focus is scored as a percentage (0-100%) compared to the best in your class
- Each stat/focus is multiplied by its weight (importance)
- All weighted scores are added together
- The total is normalized so it equals 100%
- This gives you your final overall score
Example: Cleric Score
A Cleric's score includes:
- HP score × weight
- Mana score × weight
- Resists score × weight
- Healing Enhancement focus × weight (2.0x - very important!)
- Beneficial Spell Haste focus × weight
- Spell Range Extension focus × weight
- Spell Mana Efficiency focus × weight
- Spell Damage (Magic) focus × weight
- Buff Spell Duration focus × weight
- Detrimental Spell Duration focus × weight
All of these are combined and normalized to give the final score.
